Work Socks - Posio Durable 3-Layer Merino Wool Work Socks

Breathable and durable merino wool socks with ankle-length shafts are suitable for year-round use. The ankle-length shaft of the socks reaches perfectly above the shaft of the hiking boot, preventing the socks from slipping inside the shoe. The thin socks feel light, but are very warm even when worn alone in cooler weather outside. The invisible toe seam prevents chafing or unpleasant indentations from forming on the top of the foot.

The Duratech feature of the 3-layer construction makes the sock a truly functional hiking sock. The innermost layer against the skin is polypropylene, which effectively wicks moisture away from the skin. The middle layer is merino wool, bringing warmth and breathability to the sock. The outer layer is polyamide, protecting the wool from the most active wear and adding durability to the sock. A light tightening is knitted around the instep to improve the fit of the sock.

Posio socks are at their best when out in nature, hiking and camping, which require a lot from socks. Due to their thin construction, they are also suitable for jogging, work or leisure.

This product is also made in Sukkamestarit's own factory in Ylöjärvi with 100% Finnish work.

Care instructions:

• we recommend pre-washing merino wool socks before use
• for marine socks, airing alone is often sufficient
• careful washing at a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius
• use as light a spin as possible
• the use of a wash bag saves wear and tear on the product
• do not use detergents containing rinsing agents or bleaching agents
• do not use a tumble dryer or drying programmes
• please note that merino wool socks will shrink in the wash, please shape/stretch the socks while damp to restore the original size
• use a lint remover - merino wool socks are easily linted by rubbing

Wool is a warm and breathable material. Sheep wool has excellent performance characteristics, as it breathes and insulates heat well. Self-renewing and biodegradable, natural fibre absorbs moisture well, does not wrinkle and straightens quickly. For wool products, airing rather than washing is sometimes sufficient. Wool is naturally fire-retardant, highly resistant to bacteria and mould.
