The medium-thick, really soft Saana socks are delightful in their materials and structure. Due to the special Flextech structure, the socks are really flexible and comfortable to wear. The thick sole comfortably cushions your step even on long hikes, and the ankle-length shaft reaches well above the upper of your shoes. Since the socks have an inconspicuous toe seam, they also do not cause chafing or indentations on the foot.
A light tightening at the foot improves the fit of the socks and keeps them in place better. The elastic construction helps to keep unwanted compression at bay.
Saana socks are ideal hiking socks for year-round use. They can be worn alone without socks, or in colder weather with thin merino wool socks, for example. In winter, they are also suitable for outdoor activities or yard work where there is a lot of standing and your feet need softness and warmth.
Merino wool gives the socks breathability and warmth. It is naturally antibacterial, meaning the socks won't start to smell, even if your feet sweat during the day. Merino wool also wicks moisture away from your skin to the outer layers of the sock, keeping your feet dry. Cotton and polyamide add durability, softness and flexibility to the socks.
Socks are best worn with hiking boots in the fall and winter, when conditions are cooling down or cold. Socks are a bit too thick and tight for regular sneakers, which means that air cannot circulate between the sock and the shoe, and the properties of the sock are not beneficial in this case.
