Uphillsport The Combat merino sock is a technical and truly functional sock. The 3-layer construction with Duratech feature protects the merino wool yarn in the inner layer.

UphillSport Tactical collection is based on experience with the Finnish military. More than one million pairs have been produced for the Finnish defence force. Co-operation in development and understanding of battle field demands make our tactical socks the best sock a soldier can have, Weather conditions in Finland are extremely challenging from -52 to +35 degrees Celsius which creates high performance demand. Socks need to be warm, breathable, comfortable and very durable.

Pair weight 53 grams

The solid-colored socks have the Uphill Combat text knitted on the outside of the mouth. The shaft is the length of a normal sports sock and is very flexible.

The most notable feature of the Combat socks is the 3-layer construction of the sole, which is intended to keep your feet dry and comfortable during use. The innermost layer of the socks against the skin is polypropylene, which is responsible for transferring moisture away from the skin to the outer layers of the sock. The outer layer is merino wool, which makes the socks breathable and provides warmth.

Combat socks are at their best when outdoors, training, or even as work socks in the home office.

Soft and antibacterial merino wool is also suitable for those with sensitive skin and normal wool causes skin irritation. Thanks to the antibacterial properties, the socks do not easily start to smell, even if your feet sweat a little during the day.

The socks basically fit all shoes due to their thin structure.

This product is also made in Sukkamestarit's own factory in Ylöjärvi with 100% Finnish work.

  • we recommend pre-washing merino wool socks before use
  • for marine socks, airing alone is often sufficient
  • careful washing at a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius
  • use as light a spin as possible
  • the use of a wash bag saves wear and tear on the product
  • do not use detergents containing rinsing agents or bleaching agents
  • do not use a tumble dryer or drying programmes
  • please note that merino wool socks will shrink in the wash, please shape/stretch the socks while damp to restore the original size
  • use a lint remover - merino wool socks are easily linted by rubbing

Wool is a warm and breathable material. Sheep wool has excellent performance characteristics, as it breathes and insulates heat well. Self-renewing and biodegradable, natural fibre absorbs moisture well, does not wrinkle and straightens quickly. For wool products, airing rather than washing is sometimes sufficient. Wool is naturally fire-retardant, highly resistant to bacteria and mould.
