Ouna ski socks are knee-length, have a soft wool sole and a compression sleeve.
The shaft is thin and has light compression, which allows the socks to fit even in tight ski boots. The 4-layer construction on the foot makes the socks very durable and warm. The shaped heel and light tightening on the arch further improve the fit of the socks. Ouna socks have a thermal value of 5, which is the warmest. They do not need to be worn with socks, but keep your feet warm on their own even in severe frosts.
The socks are designed specifically for downhill and skiing, but they can be used in a variety of winter sports where special protection against snow and cold is needed for the entire length of the foot.
Merino wool brings warmth and breathability to the socks, which prevents feet from sweating. The innermost layer of the socks' 4-layer structure is polypropylene, whose main function is to move moisture away from the skin, if your feet do sweat from time to time. Antibacterial merino wool also effectively prevents the formation of unwanted odors in the socks, extending their washing intervals, and thus extending their lifespan.
In addition to boots, socks work well with ankle boots and winter shoes, for example.
This product is also made in Sukkamestarit's own factory in Ylöjärvi with 100% Finnish work.

Wool is a warm and breathable material. Sheep wool has excellent performance characteristics, as it breathes and insulates heat well. Self-renewing and biodegradable, natural fibre absorbs moisture well, does not wrinkle and straightens quickly. For wool products, airing rather than washing is sometimes sufficient. Wool is naturally fire-retardant, highly resistant to bacteria and mould.
